I had planned on a bigger build this week, but then I ran out of parts. Though I have a number of Bricklink orders inbound, I modified my plans to build something different.

I built this sort of bastion into the canal and raised it up enough to allow the esplanade to pass through a tunnel underneath it. I am particularly pleased with how the titular oak tree turned out, with its thick, gnarled trunk and layers of foliage.

On the other side of the canal is a tiny strip of parking spaces. I don’t build a lot of parking into my city, I like to imagine it as being a place for people, not cars.

The bastion extends almost half way across the canal. I am very pleased with those proportions and the heavy structure at the corners.

Until next time, keep building and enjoy!
