I’ve only been building Lego seriously for about a year. One first things I discovered was the massive AFOL community on Flickr. Since I am a big sci-fi fan, it wasn’t long before I was drooling over pictures of Lego spaceships from the annual Shiptember competition.
I was in Seattle this last weekend, visiting friends when the siren call hit me. There are two Lego stores nearby, so I hopped some buses and sampled both PaB walls. That makes for a lot of long bus rides and malls, but the treasures that I found!
Last week I felt the siren call of the Lego store, so my son and I took the bus. It actually takes two or three buses to get there, so it takes a good chunk of our day. I’ve had the impending Shiptember on the mind a lot lately, which has been coloring my parts acquisition. Since it had been a couple of weeks since my last visit, I was hoping that something magical would have appeared in the bins.
Brick Colorstream – A fantastic new Flickr account devoted to chronicling the colors that Lego has used over the years.
